Every sadhak knows this moment.

You are halfway through a mala and lose count. You wonder how many malas you did this week. Your aarti lyrics are in a forwarded PDF, your audio is on YouTube between ads, and the app you tried to count with looks like a step counter.

Devotion deserves better tools. Prabhu Smaran is built to feel like the practice itself: quiet, steady, and respectful.

Everything you need for daily practice

One calm place to chant, sing aarti, and read katha. No clutter, no gimmicks.

A counter you can trust, even when life interrupts.

One large, thumb-friendly button, built for repeated taps without looking. Every tap gives a soft haptic pulse, like moving a bead. Your count and timer are saved through screen lock, backgrounding, and even an accidental app close, so an in-progress mala is never lost.

  • Big count button and a bead-style progress ring
  • Soft haptic and optional tick sound; haptic-only when your phone is silent
  • Screen stays awake while you chant
  • Reset is kept separate and asks first, so no accidental taps
  • Count with your volume buttons (Android)

From Gayatri to Namokar, ready when you are.

Start with a curated library of Hindu mantras and Jain mantras, each with its text in Devanagari and Roman script. Filter by deity, purpose, or tradition to find what you are looking for.

  • Gayatri Mantra
  • Om Namah Shivaya
  • Maha Mrityunjaya
  • Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
  • Radha Krishna
  • Hanuman Chalisa
  • Namokar Mantra

Your mantra, your count.

Add any chant in Hindi, English, or both. The traditional 108 is pre-filled, or choose 11, 21, 27, 54, 100, 1008, or any number. Your chants live under My Chants, and you can edit or delete them anytime.

See your practice, not just your count.

A live session timer starts when you start counting. Tap it to see past sessions for that chant: date, time of day, malas completed, and duration, plus weekly and monthly summaries and your current streak.

A quiet moment when the mala completes.

When you reach your target, a soft glow and gentle chime mark the moment: "1 mala of Gayatri Mantra completed." Your mala is logged automatically. Continue with another mala or finish your session. No confetti, no cartoons.

Sing along, hands free.

Browse aartis by deity, festival, or tradition. Follow large, readable lyrics in Hindi and Roman script while the audio plays. Playback continues with your phone locked, with controls on your lock screen, so it is ready for the evening puja. Save favorites, and start with the Most Played aartis if you are not sure where to begin.

  • Ganesh, Durga, Shiv, Krishna, Lakshmi, Jain aarti, and more
  • Background and lock-screen playback
  • Favorites and a Most Played shelf
  • Replay recently played tracks offline

Stories worth reading aloud.

A library of stories including festival origins, Satyanarayan Katha, and Jain Tirthankara stories, in Hindi and English. A clean, book-like reader with adjustable text size and light, dark, and sepia themes. Share a story with family in one tap, especially around festivals.

  • Reading time and teaser on every story
  • Most Read shelf to start somewhere trusted
  • Large text for comfortable reading
  • Narrated audio (Coming soon)

Log in only if you want to remember.

Chant, listen, and read without an account. When you want your history saved across devices, sign in with phone OTP, Google, or Apple and see your total malas, a daily activity calendar, a per-chant breakdown, and your streak. There are no leaderboards and no guilt-tripping.

Why Prabhu Smaran

Calm by design

No streak-shaming, no loud gamification, no ads in the chanting screen. Encouragement is gentle and stays inside the app.

Fast to start

Open the app, tap a chant, begin. Two taps from launch.

Built for both traditions

Hindu and Jain content sit side by side, correctly distinguished. Jain practitioners are first-class users here, not an afterthought.

Readable for everyone

Works where you chant

Chants and downloaded content work offline in temples, early mornings, and other low-signal places.

Content that stays fresh

New chants, aartis, kathas, and festival highlights arrive without you needing to update the app.
